Paul Bevan / In superposition

In superposition brings together a number of ideas on photography, performance and observation.  The term ‘superposition’ describes an object when it’s status is unknown and all possible positions coexist. This potential of multiple states collapses into a single state at the point the object is detected or observed, much like in the decisive moment of a photograph.

In this installation, Paul Bevan explores the notion of the body as an object/ image in superposition.  Referencing the double-slit experiment used to observe light as both wave and particle, Bevan projects a series of photographic images through a double-slit structure of himself standing at the water’s edge on locations in Fäboda (Finland) and Coney Island (New York).

Adela Jušić "I did nothing wrong"

The exhibition "I did nothing wrong" is opening 29th of January at 19:00.

Adela Jušić (1982) from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina is co-founder and working at Association for Culture and Art CRVENA on different cultural and feminist projects. The artist is working with performance, video and installation.

This exhibition of Adela Jušić’s work brings together key pieces from the last eight years. These are artworks that trace the contours of a national trauma, framed in an intensely personal lens. In a world of seemingly perpetual neo-liberal resource wars and competing propaganda, it is forgivable for a 2016 audience to lose the thread of past conflicts, to have the details of individual battles and atrocities run into one another without differentiation. In an era of the perpetual present, where the unremarkable personal anecdote and life-event  is given relentless significance on social media, we could be forgiven for a gentle indifference to an art practice based on personal biography. 

These works act as a sharp corrective to the disinterested and jaded Western gaze, and as a provocation to our blunted sense of empathy.

"Homesick" Sofia Runarsdotter

"Ett fotografiskt arbete under som utspelar sig under åtta år från min uppväxtplats, en liten by i Västerbotten. Arbetet bejakar teman som identitet, nostalgi och vad vi ska med våra rötter till. Med de utgångspunkterna har jag med landskapet, i detta fall min fars skog som går i arv till oss barn och barnbarn, placerat min familj och fotograferat dem med min polaroidkamera.

En utställning om liv, årstider, uppväxt och död i en tid då "hem" är något  miljoner tvingats fly ifrån med vemodet och årsringar i fokus.​" Sofia Runarsdotter

Sofia Runarsdotter examinerades från Nordens Fotokola, Biskop Arnö 2007 där hon läste bildjournalistik och har sedan dess arbetat heltid som frilansfotograf i Stockholm med inriktning på porträtt och reportage. Hon föreläser, driver workshops och arbetar med konstnärliga projekt.​
